Speakers

Mike Frith (OSCAR)
Mike set up and works full-time with OSCAR and is involved in just about every aspect of the organisation. Originally from Dunstable, he worked as a pilot/engineer with Mission Aviation Fellowship in Madagascar & Uganda before returning to the UK to set up OSCAR. He has a Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Post Grad. Diploma in Mission Aviation Technology. He has also been involved in church planting and pioneer mission initiatives. Mike is married to Cheryl and they have two grown up children, Joanna & Will.

OSCAR is an acronym of 'One Stop Centre for Advice and Resources'. If you're involved or interested in Christian or mission work, in the UK or overseas, OSCAR is your gateway to useful, related opportunities, information, advice and resources.

Mike will be speaking on “Top Tips for discerning what to do with your life?”

Jan Rossington (AIM)
Jan Rossington is an Africa Inland Mission worker, who is the wife of Bruce, and mother of 3 children, Zoe, Martha and Joe. For the last 15 years she has lived and worked in Africa, mainly in Rwanda and Kenya, homeschooling their 3 children and then teaching at AIM’s boarding school for missionaries’ children where she taught French, as well as overseeing an IGCSE programme for the school’s British students. It is invaluable work, enabling many parents to reach the unreached as they serve God across Africa.

While Jan hasn’t been a typical missionary, as such, her role as a mother and TCK teacher has been invaluable not only to her own family, but also in supporting the other missionary families working in Africa.

Jan will be speaking on “Can I Be A Missionary?”

Rachel Dexter (OMF)
Rachel served with YWAM for a few years before going on two Serve Asia trips to Japan. For the last few years Rachel has been studying at All Nations Christian College, preparing to return to Japan as a long term missionary with OMF.

As a young person, Rachel can identify with the struggles of what it’s meant for her working as a short termer, but also the benefits of proceeding into long term service.

Rachel will be speaking on “How God Called Me To Work In Japan”

David Gould (OMF)
An architect by training, David and his wife Ruth served in support ministry roles with OMF International in Singapore for 12 years. Since they returned to the UK in 2014 David has continued to advocate for creation care in OMF International and beyond. He is a college tutor for creation care, and a trustee for a charity engaged in developing renewable energy solutions in the Global South.

David will be speaking on “Aspects of & Opportunities in Creation Care Integral Mission”.
